What is LeadCertify?
LeadCertify is the first lead certification process for the online lead generation industry. Lead seller members who demonstrate best practices may choose to submit to an optional lead accreditation process. If successful, they earn the right to place the LeadCertify seal on their corporate Web site and marketing materials for as long as they maintain the certification. The initial certification process requires that the following conditions be met:
The LeadsCouncil is an independent association, whose members are companies in the online lead generation space from buyers to sellers, technology solution providers and investment professionals. All members are united in a common goal of promoting best practices and fostering trust regardless of vertical. LeadsCoucil was created by the industry experts and evangelists Jay Weintraub and Dave Wengel whose ongoing mission both through LeadsCon and LeadsCouncil is to increase the size of the market and number of companies who leverage lead generation online.
- Five or more positive customer testimonials on file with the LeadsCouncil
- BBB rating of B or better
- Documented lead return policy on file with the LeadsCouncil
- Documented privacy and data security policy on file with the LeadsCouncil
- Current phone number and address to facilitate communications
- Documented customer service email and phone numbers on file and accessible from every lead capture page
The LeadCertify designation must be continually earned. A LeadsCouncil member, for example, has the right to file a complaint through the LeadsCouncil about unresolved actions that run counter to the best practices that another LeadsCouncil member with the LeadCertify designation committed to uphold. A council member with the LeadCertify designation that accumulates more than three unresolved complaints runs the risk of having their accreditation suspended until enough complaints are satisfied.
